Lauren (from Killeavy, Northern Ireland) and Bernard (from Ireland) had met whilst working in Dubai. Before getting married they had settled in France to setup their horse training business.
Whilst Lauren insists that they met on Tinder, Bernard says that he saw Lauren at the stables where they worked long before matching on Tinder.
It was only natural that the couple would get married at Lauren’s family home in Killeavy Village. Lauren, still living in France whilst planning her wedding, employed Grace from Grace and Saviour, wedding planner and event stylist from Northern Ireland. Grace was able to take the reigns from the ground up and really flex her creative flair with the decor and setting of this celebration.
Grace brought on my team and Hannah Jane photography (Perth Wedding Photographer) to handle the visuals, and worked closely with Ciara from Olive and Vine Wedding Catering to create a bespoke food experience for the day.
After a ceremony at the local church, a drinks reception was held on the lawn followed by dinner and speeches in a marquee at the family home, with entertainment provided by family friends. The setting looked incredible, with earthy tones and sharing platters creating a friendly atmosphere. On the brides request, fairy lights guided the guests up the driveway to the drinks reception at the stunning garden.
Grace worked with SBD Events, Northern Ireland, to bring her concept to life for the couple.
It’s no surprise that Grace has won a Wezoree top 5 wedding planner Ireland.
Wedding Videography
Lauren had a few ideas for what she wanted included in her wedding video, namely interviews and some fun shots. On our suggestion we were able to take the couple to some stunning viewpoints for intimate portraits before joining their guests.
The crowd was willing and great on the day to work with. The interviews that we carried out with the bridal and grooms party before the ceremony were heartwarming and touching, and we were able to get some great clips from guests later in the day to speak directly to the couple in their edits. Guest interviews give the wedding films a further dimension to use within the edit to tell the story of the couple that little deeper.
Fun Wedding Video
Some wedding videos move towards the romantic and family-oriented, but in this instance I was able to create a fun trailer that captured the laughter and joy of the friendship of the couple and all of their wedding guests.
Some of the fun shots in this video are the way that the wedding party interacted with the camera such as throwing Lauren up and down on the lawn in her dress, and I was able to direct the 180 guests to what I’ve termed a ‘love tunnel’ shot where I pull back through a tunnel of the guests and they get to interact however they want with the camera (best seen to be appreciated!).
